In the shadows of our love's demise,I sacrificed all beneath the weeping skies.For your love, I morphed my very being,Yet you declared my presence too demeaning.
With every beat, I devoted my heart,Yet you tore it apart, tearing me apart.Body and soul, all laid bare,Yet your rejection hangs heavy in the air.
I altered myself, a chameleon's hue,All for the sake of pleasing you.But in the end, it was not enough,My efforts deemed inadequate, my love rebuffed.
