No-nonsense-Macky pulled the website up on the computer, tapped a few keys on the order site, and typed in the number six. Then she stood aside so Laynie could input the credit card information, and within minutes a delivery date had been promised.
“Thank you, Mack. That was easy.”
The tall girl said, “You realize you ordered an extra one, right?”
Before she could reply, the bell over the front door jingled, and a deep voice said, “I think she ordered the extra one for me.”
Laynie glanced over her shoulder to see Trace Walker filling the doorway. His ebony hair was shorter than the last time she’d seen him, but if anything, his shoulders were even broader.
