There were once six tumuli here, only four now remain in this stunning Barrow Cemetery. Nearby at SW87227577 a stone cist was found at a depth of 6ft when a pound was been repaired in 1864. The cist contained two gold lunulae (see photos on our page), a bronze axe of very early Bronze-Age type (flat, without any fastening method, and with a hammer-widened edge - see photo)
