Six Sentence Sunday: In which our hero is in the doghouse

six-sentence-sundayWelcome to Six Sentence Sunday, the day in which I join a couple hundred other authors to showcase fun six sentence long snippets on their blogs. I’m currently working on a contemporary erotic romance that I’m super excited about for a submission call. It’s untitled right now, because for some reason, titles elude me.

A little background on this part. Ethan and Ash have been in somewhat of a tense situation. They’ve been married two months now, and they just had a massive fight. Ethan took Corwin (Ash’s son) out for the day to let Ash have some time to herself and they just got home.

Ethan snuck around the corner until he could see in the kitchen. Ash’s face was transformed as she hugged Corwin, lifting the five year old off his feet. Jealousy cut into his heart a little bit, because she didn’t give him that smile. Or hell, any smile at that moment.

Jealous of a five year old, he scoffed. You’re a regular stand up guy, Ethan.

“Did you have fun?” she asked Corwin.

“Yep,” he replied. “I splashed a lot.”

“Why don’t you go upstairs and I’ll be right there to put you in the bath?”

For those new to Six Sentence Sunday, you can play too:

1) pick a book– a current Work in Progress, contracted work or even something readers can buy if you’re published

2) pick six sentences from anywhere in the story

3) post them on Sunday (hence the Six Sentence SUNDAY)

Want to play? See the site for information on how to do just that: Six Sentence Sunday
