Thank you for this lovely post, Nina. 'The Inverted World' was my gateway drug to Chris's unique world, closely followed by the Dream Archipelago in all its multifarious glory. The grace and subtlety of his writing is unique in British SF (both Specuative Fiction and Science Fiction) and a reminder that not all of the genre has to be about spaceships, aliens or ray guns. RIP.

Thank you for the "last post" Nina.Such sad news.. I love Chris' work. I was lucky enough to meet him in person on several occasions and correspond with him for years. I still remember the first time I met him. My hands were shaking, it was the Christmas morning feeling when one of your big wishes came true. He was such a lovely and warm person!
He will be greatly missed!
My sincerest condolences to his family and close ones..
I will always be watching very closely
Thank you for this message Nina, I'm sorry for your loss. I'm a relatively new reader of Chris's work but having enjoyed engaging and inventive books like The Prestige and Inverted World I'm looking forward to exploring more of his writing in the coming months and years.
I met him once, a long time ago. I was hoping to meet him again. Now, I will have to be content doing that through his books.
