The Gates of Hell – Matthew 16:18

The passage for today is Matthew 16:18. It says, “I also tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

This verse tells us that Jesus Christ has established his church, and the forces of evil will not be able to overcome it.

We are called to take part in Jesus’ work of taking back His creation from the forces of evil.
