I heard the best advice- That goal you have- it’s probably not going to happen.

Not because the world is against you. Not because the government can’t figure out a budget. Not because California almost washed away two days ago. And not because your spouse or kids are mad at you.

It’s probably not going to happen because most people give up after 20 days.

Let’s call a spade a spade. How many people bought the year pass to IFit and have already found reasons not to run? How many people still have baskets of clean laundry that has been sitting in their room for the last 4 days? How many people said that this was the year that they were going to cook healthy dinners at least six days a week?

Okay, by ‘people’, I mean me. And I have failed at all of them.

I didn’t even make 20 days.

BUT… the stuff I am passionate about – I’m doing pretty good.

I did write 3 books. Granted, I pulled 2 from the shelves for editing because I read them again and almost cried at the editing issues…

I have written 24 blogs out of 365. Granted, I’m averaging 3 views a days and that hurts a little.

However, I’m not writting for anyone. It’s more like a living document of what it’s like living with my shadows. The good and the bad. The ugly and the pretty. The upsets and the successes.

One day, I will look back at this and remember all my failures.

BUT I will also see all my successes.

And I’m willing to fail at a most to have a personal success at a few.

I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.
