Review: FIRST DATE by R.L. Stine

15-year-oldChelsea has never had a first date. Then came the dangerous-looking Tim Sparks. But she gets her first date with the new boy named Will. Will and Tim. Bothboys seemed off to me, raising my suspicions of their motives.

Meanwhile, there was a deranged teen killer with deep hate for the mother that left himalong with a father that beat him.

This soundedgood. I thought there would be more of a mystery to figure out of which boy wasthe killer. But then they tell you about halfway in. That’s a bummer. Plus, Ididn’t like how needy and weird Chelsea was about everything concerning herfirst date. She was too obsessed with the kiss, about not being wanted, andabout how she would be the only girl without a boy. After a while, you justdidn’t care whether she gets killed or not. It’s always the shy, quiet ones yougotta watch out for. I absolutely hated that he killed a poor, defenselesskitty.

This was a mildkiller story that wasn’t too great.
