Computer viruses: A man is playing with hell

A long time ago, when he was 15 years old, Thomas Sperl created his first masterpiece, a Trojan generator, a kind of construction kit for computer viruses . He offered it for free download on his website. Anyone who wanted could use it to create a computer virus and distribute it via email. The Trojan deleted the hard drive on its victims’ computers forever. He doesn’t know how many Trojans his generator has birthed – he hardly follows what his ideas are doing in the world. He also programmed other projects with theoretically much more destructive potential.
