What would you recommend as a good point to enter the wild world of comics? I'm interested but just get so overwhelmed because I feel like there is SO much material and it's all so intricately related, and I just don't even know where to begin. Any entry

The new 52 books at dc are much easier to grab onto than the pre-new 52 stuff,because there is less continuity and they are not so interlocked. Of those, Batman, Animal Man, Batwoman, Swamp Thing and Demon Knights are some of my favorites.

At marvel, Dan Slott’s Spider-man is awesome and is careful not to weigh you down with continuity. Anything by Marjorie m. Liu or Kelly Sue DeConnick or Jonathan Hickman will be outstanding.

For indies, I love Rachel Rising, Atomic Robo, and Chew.
