Spying via iPhone: Probably sloppy. Maybe also a back door for the NSA

Has Apple built a technical backdoor into iPhones so that secret services like the NSA can gain access to user data? The accusation (which Apple rejects) is serious; it almost sounds like a conspiracy theory. But it doesn’t come from just anyone. The renowned – albeit controversial – American IT security expert Steve Gibson raises it in the current edition of his popular podcast Security Now . And he also refers to research results from the IT security company Kaspersky.
