A Song in my Heart

I awakened on December 23, 2023, with the Lord unexpectedly giving me a song title. I have written poetry, children’s manuscripts, and a preteen manuscript. I am also an author of a women’s fiction short story and am a professional screenwriter; but I have never written a song. I’m not musically talented to do such a thing. However, I knew within my heart that the Lord was telling me that this title is the title to a song. I prayed and asked God for the words to the song because I cannot, and do not want to, do it without Him. The continued miracle came, and within a few hours, the lyrics were on paper. What is His plan? What’s next with this song?

I did not have a chorus; but on December 26, 2023, the Lord provided the chorus.

God is a God of miracles!

I don’t know the purpose of this song yet, except it is a blessing to me. God cares about each one of us. He wants us to spend time in His word and to draw nearer to Him.

As we cleanse our lives and open our hearts to God, we can become a vessel for honor to be used by the Lord. What a blessing!

“Therefore, if a man cleanses himself from these things, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work.”

2 Timothy 2:21 (NASB)

As the new year 2024 begins, I want to re-dedicate myself to the Lord to be one of His vessels, to be used as He wills.
