Cindy Brookshire It's that time of year when I update all my profiles on social media, and I'm like, oh, BookBub! I'm there, but barely. Why bother? I think the stronger and wider you build your platform, the more you'll be ready for when you get something really important out there. But I think Diane has advised before, to find the 2 or 3 places you really connect with your fan base and work those frequently. Scott Reintgen is a good example of an NC author who is probably really grateful he had a wide platform when his social media post went viral a week ago, and CNN, etc was contacting him for interviews. Or Marjorie Hudson - she launched "Indigo Field" in March 2023 and just accepted the Sir Walter Raleigh Award for Fiction in December! Build your base now while things are quiet, reap the benefits later.
