The Complete Christ
Something horrible has happened to American Christianity over the last century. The faith has been watered down and its followers encouraged to be, well...doormats for everyone else. We are told our traditions are offensive, that we should keep out of the public square, and that any measure of fighting back against the Communist takeover of our country is “un-Christian.” Even having pride in our heritage, or a desire to govern ourselves somehow violates our beliefs.
You could see this attitude in the beheading of the Baphomet statue in Iowa. Several Christians reacted with horror that someone had taken a physical stand against the idol. Yet many of these same individuals were silent when historical statues were assaulted or melted down by Communists.
While I do not question the devotion of these brethren, I do question the nature of their study, because it seems during it, they missed a few things. While it is true that Christ was kind and forgiving, He was also very intolerant toward evil. He flipped tables, used a whip, and told his followers to ammo up. (Well, not exactly, but he did tell them to trade their cloaks for swords, which was the ancient equivalent of such an action). In Revelation, He is described as a returning warrior riding on a white horse who will lay waste to wickedness.
So, what do we make of this?
While I could write a book on this subject alone, for now I will just say this: at the end of the day, “whip wielding” Christ and “ammo up” Christ are still Christ. They are as “Christian” as the “love your neighbor” Christ. They also provide a clear message: Christians are not doormats for blue haired communists; nor must they be milquetoast mice for media mouths.
On the contrary, Christians must be spiritual warriors whose battles do sometimes manifest physically, and for those times, we are allowed armory for defense or offense, depending upon the nature of the situation.
An election is coming up, and we are in for a very rough year. I encourage you to get in touch with ALL aspects of Christ, not just the ones the media parrots for their convenience and your obedience.
