Jack It doesn't. The personal relationship is put on a back burner as Robin goes undercover at the headquarters of the cult they're investigating for four months. Plus, she's involved in a relationship with Ryan Murphy and even tells him that she loves him (though she's conflicted). Strike has a brief affair and and there's a shocking development with Charlotte but nothing transpires romantically between him and Robin.

Professionally, Strike in in charge of the agency while Robin is away and when she returns, she has to spend time getting over the trauma she experienced. So he takes the lead although they do work closely together in solving the case.

Jane I disagree. At the very end, there is a major development in their relationship. I don't want to spoil things by giving details.

message 3: by Hilary (new)

Hilary Airton I agree with Jane. I think the relationship is moved on as Strike manages to move on emotionally.

message 4: by Nelle (new)

Nelle Strike is finally being honest with himself and letting himself be vulnerable. To the detriment of Robin and his partnership? Time will tell.
