Wildfires

Thewind stirs up the heat,

Stokesthe embers into flame,

Andno one sees just where the fire starts.

Youcame in to save me

AsI struggle to explain

Thesewildfires that rage around my heart.

 

Wewere wide-eyed strangers,

Twostars crossing in the sky.

Weboth came crashing down out of the blue.

Irushed to be by your side

Burningbridges on the way

AndI ran through wildfires just to be with you.

Asthe flames sky overhead,
