Today, I’m delighted to announce the release of the sixth book in the Harbor Pointe Series: A Fathomless Affair. I’ve read every novella in the series, and I love them all! You can find the series HERE.
My Review:
A fun family drama with a side of ghostly apparitions and maybe even a hint of romance if all the drama doesn’t get in the way.
Can Lorelei hope to turn around the catastrophes that encircle her and find time for herself and her needs? Well, not to put in spoilers, you’ll have to read this fantastic novella to find out!
As ever with this author, the writing is strong, concise yet wonderfully descriptive, with characters so lifelike you live their story with them rather than just reading, and a delicious sense of humour runs throughout the narrative and all-too-realistic dialogue. Below are some lines I loved …
‘ By the time she tugged it closed, her umbrella was a lost cause, and her hair and clothes conformed to every contour of her goose-pimpled figure.’
And …
‘… so she ignored her inner Eeyore and attempted to return his smile.’ Love the humour in this!
And …
‘… “You’d know that if you were married.” |She wasn’t touching that one with rubber gloves and hand sanitizer.’
And …
‘Founder or not, that painting should be thrown away. At least placed in a basement to scare off rats.’
I could keep going, as there are so many great lines in this book, but I’ve forced myself to stop. You really have to read this wonderful, fun, and entertaining novella! A Fathomless Affair by Staci Troilo gets a resounding 5 stars from me.
