RadioMYN: Hosts Wanted…

So I woke up monday morning excited beyond belief with a crazy vision of a 24/7 all-talk radio network that could stream live, but would mostly just play pre-recorded talk-related content.

And as I began to piece together what it all meant, I had an epiphany. I didn’t want to be mired down with scheduled programming. One of the things I love about internet radio (and what I find compelling about radio in general) is not knowing what’s coming up next. The randomness of what I may hear if I stay tuned.

So I set it up… an actual talk radio station… its working in private beta right now and will soon be unleashed to the public.

And it dawned on me what I want to do with RadioMYN is pick cool short-form “talk” content. 10 minutes ore less from whomever wants to send it to me, and I’d listen to each one and if I liked it, if it fit my tastes and I thought it was really interesting, I’d throw it into the “rotation.”

I just want to curate cool audio programming… and I’m asking you to create it and share it.

So maybe you have something you’re pissed about. Do a rant… Maybe you have a cool interview or a section of your podcast/show that you’ve done in the past. Maybe it’s a skit or a reading of your poetry or something you’ve written. Maybe you just want to talk about something on your mind.

I’m not interesting in playing your stand-alone promos… if you send me a segment of something and you want to throw in at the end where it came from, that’s fine.

Heaven knows I have hours and hours of content that I can and probably will share, but I want the overall station’s aesthetic to reflect something more interesting than just 24/7 of my own work.

Do you have something to say to the world? Be passionate and creative about it, record it as well as you can and send it to me as a 64Kbs mono mp3. You just may end up in the RadioMYN rotation!
