Now if we could get a book from him sometime soon, we as fans could be happy again:)

Just another thing I won't watch on principle. Didn't watch the first season, refused to watch any of the GoT television series, stopped reading anything GRRM writes or touches, meaning I passed on Elden Ring as well.. At this point, I no longer care about Winds being finished, I won't bother to read it..

I'm sure his principle is similar to mine. I've never watched the series either. I will when the books are finished. While I will certainly read the books if and when they come out, I totally understand Jim's feelings. It's absurd there hasn't been a GoT release in nearly 15 years in light of the fact that he made multiple statements over the years it would be completed. I am truly devastated that the story will quite likely not be completed at this point. Those book are so extraordinarily wonderful.
Quite excited! I think season 1 was okay… having read the book I know that it was more of a set up for what’s to come so I am really looking forward to the explosiveness that’s coming ;)
One of my favorite things in the world is to watch people on the internet loudly proclaim in the comments of an authors tweets (or blog in this case) that they have sworn off an author entirely despite still following said author and still purchase their products. Like when JK Rowling (f*** her) released the most recent HP video game and all the people who hate her (for good reason) went out and bought the game and played it just so they could complain some more.
Give him a break. I am anxious for him to finish the books as well but I am sure he will do it in his own good time. I am sure it’s for good reason and not just to piss off a few band wagon fans.
Great show where others like witcher, wheel of time and lord of the rings fail, they are still putting on top quality on the screen. Show grrm some respect, although he hasn't finished winds of winter, he wrote fire and blood and knights of the seven kingdoms and other world book which are amazing expansions of westeros. Because of him we are still able to watch top quality tv shows on screen. D&D ruined his great twists and outline of the series so he is writing something new than originally planned. So it is tough to change the outline and still deliver top quality material. When it is done, i am pretty confident it will be great and greater than anything we have read in recent years.
I’m tremendously excited. I actually think the plot line of A Dance of Dragons (HotD) was more action-packed than A Song of Ice and Fire (GoT). I’m especially excited now that Season One has teed up the conflict and we are ready for the combats and scenes like Blood and Cheese. As an aside, I recently reread GRRM’s early SF shorts from this two excellent compilations and despite forty years the writing holds up beautifully. If I could have any wish it would be for more Tuf stories, or perhaps a new Wo and Shade story :D
