I think it’s very telling that Aziraphale seems to be somehow the more worldly of the two of them, in some ways. For instance, he’s fired a gun before and until the bullet catch, Crowley never had. He was the one who knew about “Higher Up”’s plans to shut the universe down after only 6,000 years, whereas Crowley was just busy delighting in the creation of nebulas and stars. We definitely know that Aziraphale understands how human reproduction works, unlike the other angels. Jury’s out whether or not Crowley knows, but the bit about the one unicorn escaping and him not seeing the issue suggests that he might not, or not at that point, at least.

And yet Crowley understands vastly better than things aren’t black and white, that heaven does not necessarily have good intentions, even, that the separation of the two is stupid in the first place, and that asking questions is good and important. He knows, fallen or not, that you’re not supposed to kill kids. He doesn’t even want to kill goats.

Don’t mind me, just mulling in my newfound brainrot over here…
