If you’ve never tried, you may not know that writing a book is hard work. Also satisfying and sometimes even fun, but hard. Marketing the book is a sad necessity if you want anyone to find it and read your story, so: the dreaded book description. Dreaded because, how can I possibly condense my story into 200 words in a way that leads anyone to want to read it?
I’ve used the outfit offering this contest. They wrote the description (aka blurb) for my latest release, so here’s a sample of their work:
A journey to a new world. An unexpected indigenous culture. Two reluctant leaders desperate to save both their people.
The far future. Trey Jackson yearns for purpose.
