Sample Sunday
With a touch of amusement, Ramos the young woman he had protected and cared for since birth pack back and forth in his living room. Jessica had always been logical in her thinking – even when she was a little girl – and not easily prone to venting or ranting her thoughts and feelings, but there had been exceptions here and there over the years . . . and today appeared to be one of them.
“If you don’t take a breath and sit down soon you’re going to wear a hole into my floor,” he said from his perch on the couch.
With a sigh – one unusually dramatic for her – Jessica flopped herself down on the other end of the couch. “What do you think I should do?” she asked, pulling her knees up to her chest as she twisted to face him.
Ramos thought a moment, sorting through all Jessica had just been venting about, trying to decide which topic she was referring to. First she had demanded to know what was wrong with caring about other people, then had gone on to wonder if Sara was really trying to set things up between her and Jake, which then lead to a lengthy musing of what she should or should not do about Jake before coming back around to her session with Dr. Aldrich. His head was spinning at this point.
