I read Finding Mogha in one of the Pets in Space anthologies and was completely entranced by the sentient 'hellhound'. The main characters, Dani and K'ven are wonderful, but there is no question, it's C'hase's book.

Although considered a Korthan 'Hellhound' by humans, there is nothing demonic about C'hase. In fact, if there are demons about they are the terraforming humans.

Part of the Before the Fall series, Finding Mogha can be read as a stand alone.
