Text and Subtext #27: Last Kind Words

If you stop and think about what’s actually happening here - a good bit of Southern incest, y’all - this movie becomes profoundly disturbing on a definitely ICK level. Somehow, however, it’s still extremely watchable. The mood of this Southern Gothic ghost story is pitch perfect, right down to the soundtrack and musical score, and Brad Dourif is great, as always.
