The Interview

Interviewer:  What motivated you to write the book?

Author David: My motivation for writing the book came from all the years I worked with children from the years I spent in school to all the years I worked in various recreational departments. I met many children who seemed angry, and not happy with their lives. It was then I understood how massive this problem truly is. It was not only a problem among children, but adults as well. So I figured what I do as an author would be a fun book and at the same time help these people out. From that inspiration “Mirror City” was born. 

Interviewer: When did you realize you wanted to be a writer?

Author David: I have always loved books since I learned to read them, they give individuals a way to escape from the reality we face today. So I wanted to be a writer for a very long time. Here I am many years later with seven books out. Some of them are award winners. Living my dream of helping or inspiring others with the worlds I created. I love being a part of people’s lives, even just for a few hours. 

Interviewer: Who was the inspiration for writing your story?

Author David: For “Mirror City” my inspiration was the life around me. As for my other books, I have many great writers who inspired me like C.S Lewis. J.K Rowling, Emily Dickinson, Robert Frost, and so many others. I believe books are critical to our world and will never disappear.

Interviewer: Why must readers read your book?

Author David: “Mirror City” is a fun family story about a boy with anger issues and how he changes after a journey into a fantasy world. It is a must-read because it takes on a serious issue people face daily and guides them through those hard times. With the combination of amazing illustrations and powerful words, a person can not only be inspired but can enjoy just a fun Fantastic story. 

Interviewer: When writing your book, how did you feel?

Author David: When writing my book, I felt satisfied and happy, that I will be bringing this story out to the world and that it will be a book that will change many lives for the better.

Interviewer: What do you expect readers’ reactions after reading your book

Author David: I hope readers’ reactions will be positive and happy like a huge burden has been lifted from their lives. I also hope that readers will be able to become better and overcome their anger issues or just enjoy a quick escape to a fantastic world like “Mirror City”
