So, the 2010 William C. Morris Nominees were announced. This is the ALA Award for a debut young-adult author.

Here are the finalists:

I've been hearing such great things about Ash by Melinda Lo,The Everafter by Amy Huntley, and  Flash Burnout by L.K. Madigan, all of which have jumped to the top of my TBR pile.

The other two, I can speak personally to. Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl, I'm about three-quarters of the way through right now and it's amazing. It's like Twilight ...
