 Mississippi Elects Openly Gay Lawmaker for First Time

For the first time in all of history the state of Mississippi has elected an openly gay lawmaker. 

He is a gay man and his name is Fabian Nelson. 

The state is Republican controlled and because Nelson is a Democrat and gay this might help balance things.
