Random and Inconsistent Blog Entry #1

Don't get used to this.

I am not a blogger. I will occasionally have a thought to share, but committing to posting content on the regular fills me with dread and anxiety, and I will seldom grace your doorstep. Unless, I have something to share.

As this is the case, here I am. I'm just an author, standing in front of a reader, asking them to love me.

Things have been in a constant state of chaos the past year. I decided in May of 2022 that I needed to move back home to Baltimore, Maryland, after years of living in the south. I spent 23 years living away from friends and family I had grown up with. For those two decades I called Little Rock, Arkansas and Frisco, Texas home. But, I am getting older and the desire to be around my family had been an itch that needed scratching for the past few years. After a visit home in May of 2022, I realized the time was now.

I spent the next year planning every aspect of the move. Purging the house in Texas of almost every piece of furniture I didn't need, getting rid of physical media, cleaning, arranging junk haulers, movers, and finding a new place in Maryland to live.

While doing this, I was working full-time and writing full time to get my new book ready for publishing. I was burning several candles at both ends.

I finally moved and settled into the new home in April of 2023 which came with a whole slew of unanticipated plumbing issues, which have FINALLY been sorted out. Not to mention a debacle with the moving company, resulting in my haul from Texas arriving two weeks after the deadline, requiring me to live with my parents for an extended period of time.

All of that is behind me. I am situated and content.

Since settling in, I have completed "Leap of Faith" which is a quasi-sequel to the Amazon #1 Bestselling horror-comedy, "Lamb of God."

Leap of faith is available in limited edition hardcover (goes off sale at the end of November), trade paperback, and Audible. The Kindle versions for Kindle Unlimited and Kindle will be available on 9/4/2023.

I have set up a goodreads giveaway for the Kindle version. You can enter for a chance to get a copy starting Monday, 9/4/2023.

I also released a tenth anniversary edition of Lamb of God, slightly updated to remove some jokes that aged poorly in the decade since it's initial release. It also features a brand new cover, introduction, and a sneak peek at "Leap of Faith."

I am currently working on re-making my freshman novel, "Frayed" since the characters from that novel feature heavily in Leap. I removed the original version from the sales channel as it was a good idea executed poorly. I have improved by leaps and bounds since that book was written over 25 years ago.

While that is happening, I am also outlining the final book in the Lamb of God trilogy, tentatively titled "The Last Supper." That book is still several years away and we are looking at possibly 2026 release date at the earliest.

That's where I currently am with everything. I have more ideas brewing about what I want to do after I wrap up the aforementioned projects, but that is for another day/year.

Thanks for stopping by, and we will catch up soon!

Be better. Do Good.
