Jenn Mason, artist and editor of Cloth Paper Scissors magazine, is part of this year's
Brookline Open Studios on May 5th and 6th in Brookline, Massachusetts. Being the generous person and visionary that she is, she is opening the doors to her studio for a good cause...Meals on Wheels. Jenn is hosting Feed Me: the 7 x 7 Show.
The show will include 49 pieces of art work, displayed in a 7 x 7 grid, by artists from Brookline and the entire United States. For a $49 donation, you will get the artwork of your choosing (first come first served) as well as feed a senior for 7 days. You can see many of the pieces, all of which broadly fit the theme of 'food', on
Jenn's blog and follow along on
the 7 x 7 Facebook page.
I am happy to be a contributing artist to the show and have created the follow piece entitled 'Welcome.'
The pineapple is often a symbol of welcome and to me is the perfect image for a piece of art connected to Meals on Wheels.
