Goals

Lately, I've been thinking a lot about my writing goals and what I want to accomplish with my "hobby." There is the obvious - to get published somewhere respectable and have an audiobook- and I'm doing what I can to see my dream realized (waking up at 4am to write, research galore, and even some hair pulling.)

But, it seems I've been running around in circles for months, revising, writing, revising, and nothing is getting done. This, I think, is because I've not set any goals. Worse yet, when I do, I'm not held accountable to them.
[Note: I'm starting a FB group to help me and other writers set goals and become accountable to them].
I've decided to adapt the "SMART" approach to setting my goals. Here are my goals (both short-term & long-term and the milestones between).§  Write/Revise  1,500k a day (minimum)§  Finish WaF (Angel/Shape shifter Erotic Romance)§  Synpopis for WaF§  Query Letter for WaF§  Submit to publisher (Shamhain or Carina...) §  And finally, get my coveted contract and then audiobook
On my back burner... Blood Lust Rising is complete, and for the last year has been in Harlequin's black pit of a slush pile. After much soul searching (and gentle urging from my Gruncle B) I decided to self publish the title (and will the subsequent books pending the success of the first one). My self-publishing journey will be littered with its own set of goals! (Edits, cover art, monthly sales, promotion efforts, etc.).  In closing, I ask what are your goals?
