With a copy of the Noli and an 1872 map of Manila, Pedro Ortiz Armengol, historian who served as Spanish Ambassador to the Philippines, gave me a walking tour of Rizal's Manila that changed my life.
On the map Ibarra starts from Kapitan Tiago's house on Analogue street (now Luna), he takes a stroll on Sacristy (now Ongpin) takes a cab and returns to the Fonda de Lala on Calle Barraca here marked with the lower star.
