What does sub-Saharan Africa need to succeed? It needs black entrepreneurs, black engineers, and black architects. But don’t tell black people. It will hurt their feelings beyond repair, for the majority of the African continent’s inhabitants still can’t read and write, and those who can read still haven’t processed the humiliations of colonialism.
