Today's trip into the Catosphere took Panzer to the
Publishers Weekly site. There with no digging at all our intrepid kitty traveler found a post about the copyright infringement case four publishers won against the Internet Archive (IA). The publishers filed suit against IA for the company's scanning and "loaning" of books without payment to or permission of the authors or publishers of the books.

Who is paying IA's lawyers?
According to Andrew Albanese's post, the federal judge in the case has given IA and the four publishers until August 11 to present to the court their recommendations of procedures. The post contains links to other information about the case. Panzer says, "This won't end the case. IA plans to appeal." Note: This is a medium length post.
