NEARLY THE END OF THE MONTH!

Photobucket    Almost the end of the month and time to post how my goals have progressed for 'Are You Writing Now'?A-Z Challenge - One more day before I can state that I have officially survived, but unless something very unfortunate happens with my internet overnight I believe I can say "I SURVIVED!" - Although I did not get round to visiting every site on the list I did visit about 1,000.My WIP - I typed up what I had penned and decided to extend the story further. I have edited and revised the first part already typed and have written a fair bit to the extension - so must say all is going well! And I have written a small amount on the new story, not a great deal but the ideas are forming!I also took on a critique/beta task for a blogger buddy and have almost completed that as well, which she will be happy to hear!
So I must say even though it was a challenging month I did fulfil  my set goals! I can let you in on a little secret how I accomplished all of this - I had a two week break from my day job which allowed more time to complete all of the above.
I also spent lots of time lounging around on the beach, shopping and taking long walks along the beach. The weather was great!
Here are some photos of the beaches I frequent regularly:

Rachael Harrie from Rach Writes has invited A-Z Bloggers and others, to take part in a Challenge on her site for the month of April while the A-Z Challenge is operating.
She is asking for Blogger's to write a short story/flash fiction/poetry/other writing in the comments section of this post. The entry should be based on this picture and should be less than 150 words.

In keeping with the A to Z Blogging Challenge, the entries should also comply with the following, based on the day you write your entry (for consistency, we'll be working in US EDT time):
Sunday April 29 - free choice - no requirements for your entry. Alternatively, for an added challenge, see how many words beginning with the different letters of the alphabet you can include.
HERE IS MY THIRD POST TO RACH'S CHALLENGEIT INCLUDES A WORD USING EVERY LETTER FROM THE ALPHABET AND IS UNDER 150 WORDS:

I pondered the legend of the monster, which supposedly existed under the now murky water, as I looked out across the lake. Monsters, of course they didn’t exist!
I picked up the perfect rock, smooth and thin to skim across the surface. Maybe I could beat my own record of seven skips. Facing the water, I lifted my arm to the right angle and projected it across the surface. One, two, three, it zigzagged to the right, four….
A splash behind me.  I jumped and lost count.  I turned to leave as a dense mist rolled in, but something grabbed my ankle. I started to panic as I was dragged closer to the water.
Viscously struggling with my captor, my heart beat faster!

Ha, ha! Laughing, I could hear laughing? I looked up to see young Xander pointing to my feet and Kirk rising quickly from under the water!

DON'T FORGET THERE IS ONLY A LITTLE OVER ONE DAY LEFT FOR YOUR CHANCE TO WIN A COPY OF 'HE CAME FOR ME', BOOK ONE IN 'THE PROTECTOR SERIES'
