Crushing but Not Complaining

I received my huge order (40) of author copies from Amazon last night and was Soooooo Excited!!! As I went to set some of them up to take a picture and video my heart was immediately crushed with the realization that a portion of the cover had printed onto the spine. My husband tried to reassure me, but I told him that those were unacceptable to give to people taking a chance on me as a new author. I know it’s not THAT big of a deal, but IYKYK.

Immediately, I got on the phone with Amazon and they are taking care of it, which I am extremely grateful for. This just puts a little damper on me getting out the copies to friends and family that placed an order directly through me. But it’s alright! I can’t help but be happy that this is the thing that is going “wrong” on my publishing journey.

With these imperfect copies I plan to put them in little free libraries for readers to enjoy! And maybe some giveaways!!! I am really just so happy to have found this creative outlet in my life that even a misprinted copy, or 36 out of 40, won’t rain on my parade!!!!
