Looks like Hazel wasn’t earning any revenue from it, but the idea was to build a promising product and quickly sell it for $5000.

Launched on @ProductHunt (#4 Product of the Day)
Did B2B cold outreach. We lined up 5 potential B2B partners to sell our tours.
Backlinks from AI newsletters (40% of our traffic came from here).

Hazel’s marketing efforts are even more impressive when you consider that she doesn’t have a massive following online: ~3000 Twitter followers seems to be her main audience.

Also, make no mistake: Hazel worked her ass off to build and sell this product

She tweeted back in April…

Bootstrapping a startup while being the DEFAULT parent is hard.

Right now, I’m sobbing because I just ran 5k to get a 1-hr backup childcare after 3 failed busses so that I can work… on a sports centre bench.

Maybe one day, I will look back and smile.

And then in June…

it wasn’t all sunshine and roses.

· I got scared
· I doubted myself
· I got rejected many times
· I couldn’t get the code to work

Most people skip over this but the hustle is HARD.

So while Hazel clearly has some great technical and marketing skills, I’d say it’s her entrepreneurial mindset and emotional resilience that makes her a winner
