Why A.I. Can't Write a Novel

How do I know A.I. can't write a whole book? I tried it and it was funny. Poor ChatGPT. It tried, but not really. They say A.I. has access to significant amounts of data, but not even Data from Star Trek ever wrote a book. And don't quote me on that because I haven't seen the show or the movies in ages. I know he painted, but A.I. art is for another blog post.
