Valhalla Post 10: Breaks

You know what it is! Writing progress update time. Let's get into it.

Book 3 written: ~31%
Book 3 edited: ~28%

I want to touch on how important it is to take breaks. As you could probably tell from my last post, stress can be a nuisance, especially for me. I don't often get stressed and it often takes a lot for me to even feel stressed, but it still happens. Even to those who seem to handle it in stride. This weekend I took a small break and went to see some of the local, popular areas. Tried a smokehouse restaurant that's highly regarded (rightly so) and I went to see an inspiring landscape. Not only that, but me and my significant other went to see the play Hamilton. Which was a great musical, but I must say that auditorium seats have never been for me.

No matter what you do to relax and get away from things, remember to take some of that time to do so. Maybe that consists of visiting family that lives across the city, or perhaps that involves just staying home and having a spa night, or maybe something as simple as dipping your feet into a small ice bath after a long, hot day of work. Find your small breaks because they will help you keep your sanity, and your motivation.

If you take anything away from this, please let it be to take care of yourself, and to help take care of each other. Hope you're all doing well, my Rising Stars.
