Book Two

Today felt like the time to finally go back and do the fine-toothed comb-through of my second book. The book has been on my 'done' shelf for nearly two years. There it sat while I worked on further sequels and fought to get 'Spellseeker' published. Biding its time until my attention wandered back. The plot is all set. The only changes I plan to make are grammar and word choice. Making sure the book reads well.

This second book, which I have titled 'Shikaree', takes place in the same setting as 'Spellseeker.' Rather than make a hard sequel, I decided to tell the story of a new protagonist. I've maintained this pattern through books three and four. It gives me a chance to explore new spaces in this setting without having to stretch poor Owen too thin.

Going through chapter one was a fun exercise. It feels like opening a time capsule. Looking forward to getting the whole thing polished, then starting the hunt for agents/publishers.
