Loved it!
"Breaking through the silence is a story of a woman's struggle with all the forces against her. Her resilience is remarkable indeed."

SYNOPSIS
As a fifty-three year old mother of three teenagers, thirteen year old twin girls and a fourteen year old son. At the age of fifty-three I feel like my life has just begun. I had spent four decades of my life trying to overcome my extreme shyness. Shyness, throughout my life was a constant companion; we strode hand in hand, and side by side. Some would say that my shyness and I were two peas in a pod. Although, I spent four decades of my life trying to break free from my extreme shyness, this book will glimpses of my struggles and the journey to find my voice. Most people would say so what you were just shy, but what they did not know that my shyness affected almost every aspect of my life?
My shyness affected my academic career early on in grade school and hung with me throughout my college career. I am a single parent and in this book I write about my experiences of being a single parent, and how I can relate to the shy child who just want to find their way and who teachers overlook sometimes because they are so quiet.

"Breaking through the silence by Brenda Powell is a story of the continuous struggle, courage, and stability of a woman who was an introverted, extremely shy person, and very much wrapped up in herself only.

In a modern drama, society plays an important role in the development of the main characters, the success or failure of that characters depends on the struggle against the norms or taboos of the society around them.

The impacts that we have on our minds due to the stress of the surroundings around us leave a lasting impression on our life. We move forward battling all the battles that are taking place in our minds. These are the internal battles that we fight alone. Nobody would care about it. No one would help us fighting these battles. We are alone in our struggles. We are traveling alone on the lonely road of struggles that lead to our success. But only a few of us survive along this journey and get our reward. Because life is not a bed of roses and the road to success is not an easy way to travel. The voyage is difficult, hard, and risky.

The author draws in front of the readers the true picture of that difficult voyage. Her success is not an easily earned thing.

The readers will find this book as a great piece of advice for all the people who are looking for a success story. The inspiration that will motivate all of us to work hard no matter whatever happens.
