Ranger 4 and Saturn Rocket Hit The Moon

The United States spacecraft Ranger 4, designed to transmit pictures of the lunar surface to Earth, was launched in April 1962.

Two days later a Saturn rocket, designed to send Apollo missions to the Moon and back, was launched from Cape Canaveral.
