Tarbert (Gigha)

A standing stone at the north of the isle of Gigha - it now leans considerably out of the vertical towards the east and the top is divided into two peaks by a deep indentation due to the weathering of a natural fissure. Said to be a prehistoric lunar observatory by Alexander Thom - see comment and simulation below on our page from David Hoyle supporting this.
