The Lucky 7 Meme – 7 lines from my WIP
Okay, so my Entangled buddy, Paige Cucarro tagged me at her blog, “Being Paige . . .being normal” to participate in this game.
Here are the rules: Go to page 7 or 77 of your current MS/WIP, or go to line 7 (for short fiction). Copy down the next 7 lines, sentences or paragraphs and post them as they are written. Tag up to 7 authors and let them know and post a link to the author who invited you.
So . . . . here goes, from my WIP, PLAYING THE PART, which is currently on partial submission to the Harlequin Presents Extra Line:
Actually, he flashed his sexy, wolfish grin and settled against the edge of the table with all the confidence of a man who was used to getting whatever woman he wanted.
Oh right, he was used to getting whatever woman he wanted.
As if he suspected her discomfort, Alex shifted so he wasn’t crowding her but he stayed close enough that she could smell the warm, earthy scent of his skin. She breathed him in, every female part of her perking up at the proximity of a hot male. Breaking eye contact, he glanced down at the remaining items on the table.
“What are these?” He picked up the DVD copies of his movies and whistled long and low. “Wow, there’s a whole lot of me going on here.”
What do you think? I love my hero and heroine in this book. Alex is a an action movie star and a real Hollywood playboy. Honey is a romance novelist who is having trouble believing in the whole love thing at the moment. They are hot for each other.
Love . That. So. Much.
I envision Jesse Williams as Alex:
And, Lisa Loeb is the perfect Honey James:

So, I need to tag 7 authors to participate – if they want to – no obligation, we are all busy.
I’m currently slated for a June release of my debut romance novel, A NIGHT OF SOUTHERN COMFORT, from the Indulgence Imprint at Entangled Publishing! I’m having a new website designed (so this will migrate soon) and I’ll start posting all the exciting stuff as I count down the days to my dream come true!
Burn it up,
Robin
