            He smiled,and it was a nice smile. A little worn and rugged around the edges, but warmand genuine, spreading all the way up to his eyes which crinkled at thecorners. He held his hand out to me. “Hello. My name’s Kevin. Kevin Williams. Ijust moved in next door.”

            “Oh!”I placed my hand in his, the large warm fingers enveloping mine. “I’m Hannah.It’s nice to meet you.” The Perry home had sold only a few weeks ago. If I’dknown our new neighbors were moving in so quickly, I would have planned to reachout—at least bring over a coffee cake. Then again, with Amie and August’swedding fast approaching and my increase in volunteer hours at Amos’s mission,I’d been a bit out of sorts. Not at the top of my planning game.

            Hesqueezed my hand and a flush worked over my body. Huh. Now that was new. Unless it was simply a hot flash. Those certainlywere becoming more and more commonplace.

            Ireleased his hand. “How are you enjoying Camden?”

            “Greattown. I’m looking forward to the fishing.”

            “Besure to try Penobscot River. It’s famous for its landlocked salmon. The bestI’ve ever had.”

            Hiseyebrows raised. “You a fisherwoman?”

            Ilaughed. “Good grief, no. But I try to know a little bit about everything tohelp our guests find their adventures.”

            Henodded, stroking his beard thoughtfully. “A woman who knows a little bit abouteverything. I’ll keep that in mind.”
