A Tried & Tested Way To Go Viral
I noticed two similar tweets going viral the other day…
@itsPaulAi: 8 things impossible on ChatGPT but that Bard can do (for free)@moritzkremb: 10 things you can do with Bard that aren’t possible with ChatGPTThe tweets were posted about 4 hours apart.
I’m not sure if the second guy got the idea from the first. But even if @moritzkremb is a copycat, he still got 4+ million views and probably 1000s of new followers
So while his tweet may not have been original, it worked.
It’s probably the most reliable strategy for going viral: find some popular/trending content, then leverage it to gain some attention for yourself or your business
You can do that by…
Creating your own version of whatever’s trendingResponding with a hot takeRepurposing the content for a different format/platformCreating a clever meme on the topicEtc.Anyway, those tweets got me thinking about the top 10 most visited websites in the world (source)…
Google.comYouTube.comFacebook.comReddit.comAmazon.comYahoo.comTwitter.comWikipedia.orgWeather.comInstagram.com(Okay fine, I left out two from that list, because they’re a bit naughty and I didn’t want this email to end up in your spam folder.)
For most of the sites above, there’s a way to see what’s trending on them…
