Discussion Time!
Oh boy, am I both glad for these weekly releases and in absolute agony! Turns out waiting a week for your own show to come out is even worse than waiting for someone else’s show. Not only am I dying to see these on my home theater (rather than my laptop) and without watermarks, I’m absolutely dying to hear what everyone thinks about each episode!
Something I didn’t expect: how much discussion there would be online about Silo. There are so many threads, videos, podcasts, discords, chat groups, etc. It’s a lot of fun watching people puzzle this together (those who haven’t read the books) and also to see OG readers stifling their glee (and dread) over all the twists and turns to come.

The show is gorgeous. The books are, obviously, masterpieces in their own right but it is fascinating to see the grittiness of the Silo come to life through the work of so many artists, designers, actors. The world in this show already feels much bigger and richer than so many "high profile" shows such as the Star Wars spinoffs, Rings of Power, etc. The team is doing an excellent job of world building and "showing, not telling" that leaves us wondering about what else is going on with the hundreds of people who live there.
I am loving the series! Amazing how well the characters and setting match my memories of the book. I was a bit worried about how the silo would look, but it is perfect. Also, it is fantastic to finally be able to share this brilliant story with my husband. He became hooked after the first episode and is a now as excited for the Friday release as I am.
Love the show so far!!! I'm so glad it's finally here.
Loving the show. I read and adored the books 10 years ago, so whatever differences there are between the books and the show are not obvious to me. Looking forward to watching more episodes, and am happy there is a week between them to process and look forward to the next.
Still quality stuff but did find my attention drifted occasionally...
