Variegated
I shine like a forest green leaf
With yellow curved lines
I meet the center vein
Poked by earthbound mortals
The promise of idols
My colors fades to pale lemon
Lines remain of green innocence
Of sunshine brightness
I split the difference
Morph into buds of the future
