The Constant Source of Love...

When I first prayed to ask the Lord to teach me about Love, the goal was to learn how to take a romantic relationship to the next level. As I started my research about this matter, the first major lessons I learned was from the late Dr. Myles Munroe who pointed out that:

Love is not an emotion, but a decision.

Love with a condition is no longer Love.

Though there were more lessons that I would come to learn over the following years, these first lessons enlarged my heart and enabled me to withstand the blow of hearing the person I decided to love say that they did not love me.

Looking back on that day, I recall a strange calm sitting upon me to maintain my dignity. In complete silence I survived sitting in a public place, riding in the same car and being asked about what was being said to me. When I was finally ready to speak, I passionately shared the lessons I had just learned from Dr. Munroe and went home.

Now, did I feel some kind of way about what happened? Yes, I did! I was thoroughly embarrassed and shed my share of tears, but something was altogether different about this instance. As I continued to study Love in-theory or through real-life circumstances, I came to understand that I spent most of my life:

Not loving myself.

Always seeking validation from family, friends, employers and colleagues.

Willing to offer everything of intrinsic value just to stay in rooms that only tolerated me.

Yet, the more I Iearned that Love is a constant resource that cannot run out, I discovered I was not sorry for any Love I felt and decided to express.

The more I learned that Love can never be wasted, I discovered that I will always have the capacity to make room to be Loved and to give Love to those that chose to bask in the light of it!

The more I learned how important it is to be rooted and grounded in the effective power of Love, I discovered that I am empowered to walk through the full force of any experience without being aware of the blunt impact.

The more I learned that Love is my defense and rearguard, I discovered that I do not have to pretend to be invincible nor commit energy to self-preserve.

The more I learned that Love owns the responsibility of protecting me, I discovered that I am free to focus on being wonderful to bring forth innovative solutions in my life's work to serve the world around me.

I apply these truths to all my personal, professional and faith relationships so that I am not devastated should any not survive. But this is more than just a matter of survival! My everyday success heavily depends upon me being connected to the constant source of Love! For me, that eternal source is God's Love.

In its simplicity, God's Love is the strongest most intelligent superpower available to Mankind that shines an internal light to reveal who we are as natural born leaders, why we exist; what we are capable of; what we are motivated by; how high we can perform in our industries and the extent of our creativity to build exponential wealth!

As the only creatures engineered in His image and after His likeness, we are Love personified! And once we begin to see ourselves as God's Love sees us, we are enlightened to recalculate our value to better to serve the commonwealth of the global family in the fullness of our calling.
