Perhaps my only fault was
I didn’t hold you tight enough:
I couldn’t force myself
To believe that
I am yours,
Neither could I
Force it upon you that
You are mine.
Instead,
I just stood still,
Watching you from afar:
Wanting you to come to me,
Waiting for you to come to me;
But never could I force myself
To walk towards you.
That was my fault maybe:
I couldn’t bring myself to you.
