Damion Maxwell I can't wait to see it I have watched all the movies about 10 times over, and read all the books two times over you are truly talented J.K.

message 2: by Robert (new)

Robert I can't say that I "like" this really but it will be interesting to see how it does.

message 3: by Romà (new)

Romà Giménez Jori Tinc massa recents les pel·lícules i massa poc interès en veure el que ja hem vist mil cops a casa

message 4: by Amy (new)

Amy M Harry Potter was always diverse so i hope they don't use the "modern audience" excuse and change all the characters. JK being involved is a good start, but I'm apprehensive.

message 5: by Laura (new)

Laura Soooo excited!!

=☆Silver-Lining☆= Definitely going to miss Daniel Radcliffe and Tom Felton and all of them, but i'm pretty excited for this!

message 7: by Deborah (new)

Deborah Berning As long as you are involved I look forward to seeing it... Thank you for bringing such an amazing world to us and for all you do JK... You're amazing

message 8: by Eden (new)

Eden I'm kind of excited for this! I can see how the books would work as a series since all of the details from the books could be used. Still...no one could replace Robbie Coltrane.

message 9: by Malcolm (new)

Malcolm Meli Definitely excited to return to Hogwarts, however I will undoubtedly miss the cinematic ones, as the cast in those movies was absolutely perfect.

message 10: by Leon (new)

Leon March I wish you all the best.

message 11: by Hela (new)

Hela Fekih I am so excited!

message 12: by Noopur (new)

Noopur Shah I think the main reason I might not like this is because of the different casting but I think they should also keep the fan cast in mind for the flashbacks (even though it is for a small amount of time). I also think you should make a Marauders Era series.

message 13: by Savannah (new)

Savannah Gerena I’m so excited for this i could cry 😭

✧ CLAUDIBLE ✧ AHHHHHHH ⚡️♥️

message 15: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Gibson I was really hoping it would be an animated series, but I'm still excited! I always believed television would be a better format for HP. Can't wait!!

message 16: by Princess (new)

Princess I have mixed emotions about this

message 17: by Todd (new)

Todd Time to ruin a perfectly good series just for money grabs.

message 18: by DaLanie (new)

DaLanie I'm excited because I love Harry Potter but I'm worried I won't like it at the same time because in my opinion there is OG cast. When I read the books that's who I "see".

message 19: by Fate (new)

Fate actually i've always hoped for this! the movies were made badly. specially movie 4-8. i liked the first 3 ones. also dk why are ppl so obsessed with OG cast? i really don't care about them except for Fred and George and Lupin. and Imagine, Lupin, Sirius and Snape were the same age but in the movies Snape lookd 20 years older than Lupin. anyways, but i also have my concerns about the new series : please don't let David Yates anywhere near it! that guy's style is horrible. also please don't blackwash the characters ffs. (i aint white, i just don't want to suddenly see "bushy brown hair" and "pale skin" description of books turn into another race.) and for the love of humanity do not turn a children's serie into a sexual cr*p. be exactly as the books are. meanwhile i hope rowling writes about the marauders too

message 20: by Raman (new)

Raman Kaur :) I’m so excited that I don’t know what to do with myself 🤣🤣🤣

message 21: by Maria (new)

Maria Pearcey The only ask I have is that they do Ginny’s character justice. They did her so dirty in the movies.

Adam Jordan Amy wrote: "Harry Potter was always diverse so i hope they don't use the "modern audience" excuse and change all the characters. JK being involved is a good start, but I'm apprehensive."

Seriously, I agree. Gonna wait and see the casting to see the direction they are headed

Robbie Coltrane is Hagrid; can't see anyone else. Casting is going to be tough

Sarah Gibson Maria wrote: "The only ask I have is that they do Ginny’s character justice. They did her so dirty in the movies."

Amen!! 🙌🏼

message 25: by Clara (new)

Clara Hope it remains true to the books! :)

message 26: by Becca (new)

Becca Ferguson Please make the series closer to the books. We need Peeves!!!

D. Can't wait for the woke mob to boycott this series as they did with hogwarts legacy, this might become the most popular series ever and it's hilarious. My biggest concern is that they decide to update the story for the "modern audience" with all the bs that comes along with it. Hopefully JK Rowling serving as executive producer learned what happens when she tries to please a crowd that will ALWAYS find something to get offended by and stays true to her original vision. It doesn't matter what your race, religion and political beliefs are, there's a reason why the HP books are so loved around the world. Keeping the series' identity is the first key to success.

It's also amazing how hbo ignored the twitter freaks and ordered an HP series that will last for a decade, once again, twitter drama doesn't represent the real world. They won't go after warner bros because it's not in the nature of bullies to go after someone bigger than them, but they will definitely go after the actors and everyone who will working on this new series. I also can't help but feel sorry for the actress who plays Hermione, black or white, she will get a lot of hate in the stupidity that this cultural war is.

Oh and I agree, don't bring back David yates, i'm so fucking tired of his style. hope this new series looks similar to HP3, that one was beautiful. Casting will be tough, some actors were really great such the ones that played Hagrid and Luna, but it's nice to get new actors playing Harry, Ron and Hermione after what those rats did to JK Rowling. they were also pretty bad tbh and didn't reall represent the characters from the books, nothing will ever be as annoying as hermione in the goblet of fire movie lol

message 28: by Caroline (new)

Caroline Price I'm so pleased and I can't wait!

message 29: by Supipi (last edited Apr 19, 2023 06:00AM) (new)

Supipi The only things I ask for are that Ron gets to be like book Ron, Ginny doesn't tie Harry's shoelaces and feed him pastries, SPEW exists and that we see Peeves. But aside from that, I CAN'T WAIT

message 30: by Raktim Roy (new)

Raktim Roy Please include Peeves the poltergeist.

message 31: by Azura (new)

Azura I can't wait!!!

They should follow the GOAT's lead:

"We made a promise to ourselves at the beginning of the process that we weren't going to put any of our own politics, our own messages or our own themes into these movies. ... In a way, we were trying to make these films for him, not for ourselves." - Peter Jackson

message 33: by **Theo (new)

**Theo I always loved the books. I felt like the films were carried by the amazing adult actors and the production design. I'm not going to pretend like any of the child actors were Freddy Highmores. There were so many little details that I wanted to see. I hope the series sticks to the books and doesn't go all woke. I really hope it's not set anywhere but the UK. There are so many characters from different backgrounds whose stories can be explored. I hope the series stays away from the tokenism that exists in too many shows where it feels forced and weird. I hope we get a more insight into the world like JK did with Pottermore.

Alfonso Cuarón! Azkabah was so good. I wonder what HP would look like directed by Guillermo Del Toro!

"Dreadful news, which I feel duty bound to share. Activists in my mentions are trying to organise yet another boycott of my work, this time of the Harry Potter TV show. As forewarned is forearmed, I've taken the precaution of laying in a large stock of champagne."

Ahahhahahaahahaha! Our queen! 😍😍😍 When all hope is lost on having a logical conversation with twitter freaks, this is the only way you deal with them 👏👏👏 I'm really happy for JK Rowling to be back to the world she created after all the shit she went through in the past years. Now please don't fuck this up and don't turn this series into another willow/wheel of time/rings of power woke shit.

message 36: by Banshee (new)

Banshee I have always wished for the series to become a tv series rather than films to give the source material justice and it's finally coming true!

I hope the author will have a strong influence on how it turns out.

message 37: by Art (new)

Art Cool. Will it be animated or live action. Please be live action. :)

Azura I can't wait!!! :D

message 40: by Vanessa (new)

Vanessa Innes-Wagstaff I am slightly nervous like some others...how can Radcliffe as Potter be matched and the superb Ron? But if Rowling let's it through the 'She who must be consulted' gates then maybe it will be ok! Curious to see the result.

FifthMarauder SO EXCITED!

message 42: by Jasara (new)

Jasara Can't wait to see it with my sister. I'm trying to get her as interested as I am in harry potter. I am so excited to see a series that reflects the books accurately and doesn't leave out my favorite parts that were left out in the movies. When is the release date exactly?

I would so love to see peeves he is so funny and I was so sad when they left him out of the movies. Another character I want to see more of is firenze when he teaches in the fifth book

There's no official release date yet but it could be 2025 or 2026. A release on december 2024 would make me so happy though.
